I loved number 15. Men need to learn how to sew, and it appears as if Hilliary Clinton is the one in the picture.

OK all you guys aand girls out there don't know how to put out a fire, treat a snake bite in the field, tie a bow line, use a coolant hygrometer, drive in the snow survive any kind of undertow current, lighting strikes, just to name a few. And although most people can be mechanical if so needed, very few people can use a sewing machine. If you got 98% of these skills, you must be an underpaid jack of all trades slob who doe not know how to delegate authority, When I was younger, I was that underpaid slob that knew how to do everything, which only gets you worked harder because you know too much.

They never mention the first thing a father needs to teach his son....How to shake hands!
Nothing will make a poor impression like a wimpy fish shake.

In reference to skill number 94: Before learning how to use an air wrench, you first need to know how to IDENTIFY an air wrench. What is pictured here is a cordless electric impact driver, not an air wrench. There is a world of difference between the two, as anyone even remotely familiar with a bolt or a nut could tell you.
There are some clever entries in this segment, but this isn't one of them.

This article is sexist/pointless in this day and age. Everyone must learn these skills from time to time. I'm glad there is a plethera of knowledge out there in the info. age to help us all. "And the number one skill men should learn is how to stop and ask help and for directions"

Who cares about these things. I am 40 years old and do not know or care to know how to do most of these things. Unless your a carpenter or camper which I am neither these things do not apply to men living in a city. I have owned a stick shift car and of course can tie a tie but I have AAA for my car so why bother with the car junk, if you have AAA you don't need to know. Also, I do not cook, sew, camp, fish, or build houses so most of the rest simply do not apply to me. Also, I am a big muscular hairy guy and no I will NOT MANSCAPE!

This is a really sexist article. Why cannot women do the same things?
I am 15 and I know how to do about 70 of the things mentioned, but number one a lot of the skills are completely unnecessary, and number two many of them are unavailable to a lot of people.
I learned how to drive a 4 speed stick at the age of 12, and now, 3 years later, I can drive and completely maintain my 1973 Beetle. It's about time more ADULTS start learning!

My dad didn't teach me any of this b.s. He taught me to say Yes Sir, no Sir, Yes Ma'm and no Ma'm, Please and Thank You. He taught me that the world didn't owe me a living, I would have to go out and earn it myself. He taught me to respect my elders. He taught me to respect other people's property. He taught me that I wasn't the center of the universe. He taught me to pay my own way. He taught me not to steal, cheat or lie. He taught me to respect others and thereby myself. I could go on and on but by now you must get the idea.

I sort of recall that these things used to be taught by the Boy and Girl Scout groups. I didn't go thru every one of them, but I hope "drive a stick shift," "balance the checkbook" and "change a baby's diaper" are in there too.

The first basic thing a male/boy or man needs to know is how to hit the toilet, or clean off the dribbles, and to FLUSH as they are lowering the rim and lid. After that, picking up clothes off the floor and lid of the dirty clothes hamper, raise the lid and drop said clothes INSIDE the hamper. There are a few other basic things males could learn to do that would make everyone's world cleaner, happier and less stressful. Learning all the tools and actions should come after the basic HUMAN skills.

This article is crap. Unless you have an infinite amount of time, and resources, there's no way a regular American guy could learn to do all the things on this list.
One thing that wasn't on this list that should have been, was "learn how to fight." I don't care what everyone out there thinks, somtimes a fight is unavoidable.
And to all you neo-radical-feminists...Shut up. Quit making everything about gender. Most women don't give a CRAP about learning how to use a circular saw. In fact, most are scared of them. And that is NOT a bad thing. Three cheers for truly feminine women who appritiate what It truly means to be a woman, and don't put themselves first before their family.
Champion your women fellas.

And the title isn't "100 things EVERYONE should know because..." ?
I know so many of these things and, as a woman, I certainly wouldn't limit the spread of the knowledge due to gender.
These are topics everyone would benefit knowing about. Why would just males be better off knowing about?
