When we tune in to the classic 1992 thriller "Patriot Games," we expect to encounter nail-biting plot twists, political action and a fine performance from one Mr. Harrison Ford. What we don't expect to encounter is hardcore anal. But that's exactly what Canadian viewers of the AMC channel got yesterday when a pornographic clip (featuring a sex act involving the booty) flashed across the screen twice between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m.

"I was shocked," said Robert Meredith, 47, of Barrie, Ontario. "It was disgusting. I was really upset." Rogers turned off his television, but not before his adult daughters caught a glimpse of the explicit action.

According to the director of communications for Rogers Cable, Nancy Cottenden, the porn was aired because of a corrupted file that was inexplicably embedded in a commercial for television show "30 Rock." "It was a nine-second clip," she said. "We are investigating, but we may never know how it happened or who did it."

Cottenden also said, "They came in very fast and we acted very fast to get it off," which we think was probably the course of action for those watching the pornography at home as well.
