In a world where a $10,000,000 bill exists, it's clear money is worth less than the paper it's printed on. This makes the canvas ripe for use as a personal billboard. And if you get things wrong, you can always just spend it (as long as your artistic project hasn't destroyed it). To see what others have created, check out some of the most priceless examples of defacing green in the gallery below.
Personal Messages on Money
Why so serious? Because we're all losing about ten thousand of these a day lately, that's why.

The artist will need that dollar to buy some new markers after this project.

We liked Donnie Darko, too, but that's just creepy.
This would go better on a $300 bill. But since there's not one, a 20 will do.

Nice work on the face, but what is Gene Simmons doing with Starsky's hair?

What, you didn't know that Mario and Luigi had a third brother, Abe?

Wait. We know this one. Duran Duran? Or was it Wall Of Voodoo?

You'd be serious too if you had ten dix. Huh? Oh. "Dix" means ten in French. Never mind that last joke.

Defacing money is illogical, captain. But it's fun. Now go learn how to spell Spock correctly, nimrod.

At what cost? Hmm. Ten bucks? That's just a guess.

That $10mil banknote is nothing. In Former-Yugoslavia in the period before, during, and after the civili war inflation was mind-bogglingly incredible.
My father kept a collection of these...the largest one ever printed is $10 000 000 000 000 ...don't know if I did it right but thats $10 trillion...imagine a banknote for...if it was worth the number you could pay-off the US's debt with one note.
But it was worth around a dollar. My grandfather bought vanilla sugar [for cake], two ice creams, and two pieces of gum for the kids.
At the time streets were littered with these notes, children were playing in the street with them. Sometime during the war some of the newly seperated countries printed their money on regular paper...which anybody could easily copy if it was worth something.

Well not only is it against the law to deface it. I'm here to tell you the value will be even less than you think! Try using that for payment for gas & you may find the location saying sorry I can't accept that defaced bill because the cash acceptor will not read it! Making it impossible to deposit. Along with taped/torn/washed bills.
Unless your willing to waste that money I suggest you keep your pens away from it!

In America it is NOT illegal to deface currency. As long as your art does not make the serial number or denomination unreadable, it is still considered legal tender and businesses are REQUIRED to accept it for all debts public and private.

Has anyone seen bills with "Where's George" written on them? You can find out where that bill has been by going to - www.wheresgeorge.com.
It's fun to see where your bill goes after you spend it.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Did anyone proof read this article before putting it where millions of people can read it? Example: "Mu__er Fu_in" on one of the Canadian bills!!!
I'm far from being uptight and found most of the writings humorous but I don't think some of those bills should been accessed through AOL.
I wonder how many parents are going to get upset over this being easily accessible to children. with AOL accounts??

It's not like this is going to scar children for life. That's a ridiculous notion in itself. Please do yourself a favour and shut the f*ck up.

Dude. I'm 13. In case you haven't noticed, we are exposed to the actual world. Here's an idea- we hear these "bad, vile, ugly, colour, blue, locker-room" words all the time, and reading them online isn't any different. There isn't a single american child out there over the age of 7 who hasn't heard the word "F*ck." and not a single schooler 10 or up who hasn't used those words. Me and my friends have been using your horrible language since we were little. It's only a couple words, and maybe if you wouldn't say them, we wouldn't say them either. Stop being so hypocriticle- If you use those words, we should be able to as well.

Ooohh how I love over protective parents. You all make me laugh :)
Unless you home school your child, they will be exposed to this kind of language on a DAILY BASIS.
Parents like you make me sick, since it's idiots like you that are most likely to blame tv shows, video games, and the internet for your lack of parenting skills. If you're so concerned about our children seeing this kind of language, DON'T EVER LET THEM ACCESS THE INTERNET. EVER.

It is not AOL's responsibility to baby sit kids and monitor their access, that is their parents job. If parents cared what their kids accessed then they would keep closed tabs and maybe sign them up to kids AOL instead.

There's nothing wrong with children seeing it. My God, I saw it, I guess you can consider me a child, I'm 13.
Children to a lot of things adults don't know about it. At School we've been saying words from stupid-f_ucker, since the 4th grade. And that was at a catholic school. Stop being so over-protective, holy sh*t.
