Many of you may know a nerdy yet impressively skilled chess player who is always badgering you to go head-to-head. Of course, he does this simply to beat you and get a much-needed ego boost. Fortunately, Solutions' Phantom Force doubles as both a Christmas present and a way to get you off the hook. This robotic chess game mysteriously moves pieces by itself (oh wait, it uses magnets -- mystery solved).
Priced at $200, the board includes hints, over a hundred levels of play and can speak in English, French or Spanish. Hopefully soon they'll add a condescending "Are you sure you want to do that?" whenever you make a stupid move.
