When the Eliot Spitzer scandal broke, a lot of people weren't thinking "What was he thinking?" so much as "What the hell goes on with a $4,000-per-hour escort?" Well wonder no more, friends -- we sat down with Natalie "Natalia" McLennan, the author of the new book, "The Price: My Rise and Fall as Natalia, New York's #1 Escort" and a former co-worker of Ashley "Kristen" Dupre to get the lowdown on what happens when you hire the most expensive companions in the world.

What can I expect in an hour with a $2,000 escort service? Pretty much the same thing a client would get for $300 an hour! When a client is willing to pay that much, they have certain expectation in terms of attractiveness, education and personality. They know there's going to be no drama. It's like insurance; it's guaranteed you're pretty much going to have an awesome time. Plus, a lot of times the girls' actual pictures are featured so they know exactly what they're getting into.

What are the most common misconceptions people have about being an escort? One of the things people find it hard to believe is that I didn't have a negative experience. That's the big misconception. They think that the clients are old or unattractive. Most of my clients were super attractive and the average age range was 25-50. These are guys with dynamic personalities. A lot of times these guys work like 80 hours a week and they want to guarantee to have an amazing evening. So they can call an escort and they know what they're going to get instead of going to a bar get smashed and maybe meet a girl.

In "The Price," you mention having a bag of toys you took with you, what were some of the toys you were carrying around? I was traveling to go see a client and then I was going home to Canada to see some friends and when I'm traveling back from Canada to the U.S., I'm going through security and this guy waves me over and he says I have something in my bag you're not supposed to have and my mind started racing. Did one of my friends drop some coke in my bag? Then I thought about it and realized he was referring to the handcuffs in my bag. He told me not to travel with them and then waved me in. I couldn't believe they let me through with handcuffs!

So what are things guys can't do? I wasn't in to doing a half-hour. Also, I never had anal sex with my clients. That wasn't up for sale. Some girls did, everyone has their boundaries that they are comfortable with. I never had sex without a condom, that was something that was off limits. Really, compared to the New York party girls, we were so much safer.

What's the weirdest thing you had to do?
Honestly, it was this one guy when I was just getting started and was the typical and well-known fetish. I mean, I love awesome shoes and I like getting a pedicure, but really it's not a fetish for me. He footed a $60,000 bill by booking four girls for six hours and we had to have our toenails painted pink and we just sat in chairs while he pleasured himself. So we sat there while he pleasured himself for six hours!

Were you able to laugh?
We were supposed to be really serious; that was the hardest part.

What's the most number of girls that ever got involved? There was one bachelor party we did with 11 girls. I'd never been to one before but all the stereotypes that exist were true. The whole thing ended with two guys getting into a fight over one of the escorts. Because we weren't strippers, we didn't have a show prepared for him so it was mostly just girls leading guys into their rooms. They were absolutely wasted, it was horrible. That might have been my worst evening.
