(Every week political pundits grace us with gaffes, hyperbole, violation of logic and just plain untruths. Every week we try to catch them because we are smart alecks.)

Ben Stein gets excited.
Stein, famous for his monotone voice, engages Fox News host Neil Cavuto in a rambling shouting match over the true size of the government's Wall Street bailout. At about the 1:40 mark, the two shout over each other for 11 straight seconds -- a non-O'Reilly record for the network. Nevertheless, it ends up being just as coherent as any other recent discussion of the economy.

See some strange goings-on in Maria Bartiromo's interview with a Saudi prince, and learn more about the Hannity-Colmes divorce after the jump.

"SNL" character may be economy's only hope.CNBC's Maria Bartiromo interviews Saudi Prince Alwaleed, who is a major share holder in the beleaguered bank, Citigroup. The clip is a little grainy, but if you are seeing Father Guido Sarducci playing with some sort of gold chain as he speaks from in front of a stable of horses, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. BTW, we may be depending on this guy to save the U.S. economy. Man are we screwed.

Who will replace Alan Colmes?
The big news in punditry this week was the amicable break up of Sean Hannity and his silent partner Alan Colmes. Speculation over who will replace Colmes in Fox News's 8:00 pasty-faced liberal seat is rampant. We think Ailes and Company really blew it by publicizing the split, for they could have surely gotten away with using a cardboard cutout of Colmes for at least the next few months.

Schadenfreude alert!
Ann Coulter has broken her jaw. Love her or hate her, there is no denying the provocateur will have trouble speaking with her mouth wired shut.
