We know it's potentially disastrous from the CDC's standpoint, but, honestly, what sounds more fun than a little rhesus monkey smuggling? Alas, the activity caused some fuss when one women smuggled one of our primate cousins on a plane.

Gypsy Lawson, 29, was able to elude customs officials by sedating a small rhesus monkey and carrying it under her blouse on a flight from Thailand to L.A. last year. She allegedly pretended she was pregnant on the plane, and successfully made it past U.S. Customs. Her 55-year-old mother was also on the flight from Bangkok, and the two would have gotten away with it if Lawson hadn't bragged about the exploit to a clothing store clerk afterward.

Now Lawson and her mom have been convicted of smuggling and conspiracy charges for the incident. The monkey has been moved to a primate rescue facility in Oregon.

As huge fans of "The State," we can only hope this Pacific Northwest compound has no history of monkey torture.
