Canada is the most welcoming country in the world for relocating foreigners.HSBC Bank asked over 2,000 ex-pats in 48 different countries to rate their new nation of residence on ability to befriend locals, ease in joining community groups, number who learned the language and percentage that bought property.
Germany and Australia followed Canada in the two and three spots respectively, while the United States placed sixth. Defying all stereotypes, France clocked in as the ninth most friendly nation. China pulled up the rear, although much of that can be attributed to having a difficult language to learn, and a culture that can be confusing to Westerners.
Though not mentioned by name in the survey results, we suspect Canada friendliness is a direct result of free health care, king-sized slabs of bacon and the fact that Celine Dion now resides in the States.

I lived in Toronto for 13 years and I can say that Canadians are awesome. Very friendly and polit. On the other hand, Florida in US is another story!....

Canada most friendly??? On a recent hunting trip to Quebec, we crossed the border at Sault St Marie. The Canadian customs were smart lipped, abrasive, and insulting, bitches and bastards. You didn't dare snap back at them if you wanted to cross the border uneventfully. On returning to the US we definately found US customs to be GENUINELY friendlier!!! Celine Dion I believe is from Quebec??(French) Where they dont like outsiders and Americans much less. I dont think they even consider themselves Canadians. ie French. Bottom line: there's a lot of countries that just hate US
