So you think you're a tough guy? Turns out you're not alone. There are thousands willing to brave fire, smoke and water to vie for that title. Last weekend, competitors from 25 countries were out in the bitter cold to show that they had what it took to be called "tough."

The annual "Tough Guy Challenge" takes place in the U.K. town of Perton, and involves dudes -- many in skimpy outfits like the Borat-style sling pictured here -- running for miles, passing through fields of flaming hay bales, swimming through icy-cold mud rivers under barbed wire and climbing on an army-style obstacle course. Organizers call the 23-year-old competition "uniquely fear-ridden," including participants being made to sign a "death warrant" before being allowed to participate.
