Take a look at our gallery of famous geeks, and the gorgeous ladies who put up with their action figures, obscure jazz records and comic book collections. Some were brief flings, others stood the test of time. But all were clearly based on much more than looks.
Geeky Guys with Lovely Ladies
Kevin Smith and Jennifer Schwalbach Smith
Smith is the living the geek dreamfame, fortune, and a hot wife. He's kind of like that character Dante, who scored Rosario Dawson in "Clerks II." Except, you know, he doesn't work at Mooby Burger.

Nikki Cox and Bobcat Goldthwait
Cox's engagement to her "Unhappily Ever After" costar raised eyebrows for their age difference, and for the fact that she was engaged to Bobcat Goldthwait. After the couple split, Cox went on to marry Jay Mohr (giving her the unfortunate last name "Cox Mohr") and overdo it on the Restylane injections.

David Spade and Nicolette Sheridan
Spade has been linked to a bevy of hot blondes, from Sheridan to Heather Locklear to Playboy Playmate Jillian Grace (who recently gave birth to his daughter.) Not the way we expected the romantic life of "Joe Dirt" to go at all.

Seth Green and Kristin Chenoweth
The "Robot Chicken" creator has perhaps the most geek cred of any actor around these days. That, and his diminutive size, hasn't stopped the likable actor from being linked to everyone from his "Buffy" costar Hannigan (though he denies it) to Meg Ryan. Gossip rags jumped on his potential coupling with fellow pint-sized cutie Chenoweth when the two were seen out on date last year, but nothing came of it. Still, wouldn't they be the cutest couple?

Quentin Tarantino and Mira Sorvino
Much like his eclectic movies, Quentin's been linked to a wide variety of famous women (he's probably the only guy in Hollywood to have dated both Sofia Coppola and Kathy Griffin.) But Sorvino was the filmmaker's most high profile relationship, with the couple making many red carpet appearances together. Rumors surfaced in recent years of an Uma Thurman hook-up, but Uma has made it very clear that the two are just friends.

Elvis Costello and Diana Krall
Costello perfected a geek chic look that hipsters continue to run into the ground, and his music remains relevant today. In 2003, he wed the sultry Krall, who has inspired the musical genius to write some pretty bland music in recent years.

Salman Rushdie and Padma Lakshmi
The world was rocked in July of 2007 by the Rushdie/Lakshmi divorce, a split more chronicled in the media than the Aniston/Pitt break-up. Okay, the world actually said, "the host of 'Top Chef' was married to a guy older than her father?" Lakshmi went on to greater fame as a model and TV personality, while Rushdie went back to dodging death threats and doing whatever it is he does these days.

Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky
Given his propensity for fondling lesbian strippers on the radio, it's pretty staggering that Stern has managed to have so many steady relationships. Even more amazing, prior to wedding model/actress Ostrosky, Stern was linked to the likes of Carmen Electra and Angie Everhart. His influence is so great, he's even made Artie Lange something of a ladies man. Sort of.

Jerry Seinfeld and Jessica Seinfeld
Here's a little secret: Seinfeld has a lot of money. Like own a small island, eat endangered condor egg omelets for breakfast every morning money. (Plus, "Seinfeld" pretty much given him a lifetime pass to squander his talent on commercials and over-hyped animated movies.) He's also done alright in the relationship category, scoring the smoking hot Shoshanna Lonstein when she was a highly illegal 17 before marrying PR diva and alleged cookbook plagiarizer Jessica Seinfeld (née Sklar).

Jordan Bratman and Christina Aguilera
Jordan, we're rooting for you buddy. You give hope to all of the nebbish, average looking dudes who dream of someday holding their insanely hot pop singer wife's handbag on the red carpet.

Geek culture has become so mainstream of late that your average "Fallout 3"-playing, "Secret Invasion"-reading nerd has a pretty decent chance of landing a significant other way above their social status. (Provided that they bathe on a regular basis and don't wear
