We've collected a few of our favorites in the gallery below. But before you laugh too hard, consider this fact: Even one of our own Asylum editors was caught on the street by the Google van. If it can happen to us, it can surely happen to you. For more best-of moments check out Urlesque's Top 10 Moments Caught on Google Maps Street View
Have you been out on the streets doing anything you might regret?
Best of Google Street View
Fact: White Van men hate Google.
Aliens flying in formation over Bethnal Green. Or plane? No, definitely aliens.
Alien Mothership? Or fly?
Sunbathing in Glasgow.
Scarecrows with speed cameras.
Silly Google -- how are you going to get across there?
Oh right that's how -- make the water disappear.
We hope for his sake this boy's schoolmates don't find this. "What were you doing to those cows Phil? Are they your mates? Is that your girlfriend? Is your girlfriend a cow, Phil?"
Monument to a dead digger?
Lamas in a garden in Staffordshire.

Street View is a feature on Google Maps that allows you to virtually roam the streets of towns to which you may never have even been. While this is useful for figuring directions, it's also turned out to be useful for finding amazing pictures of people doing stuff they should not be doing -- like that fellow passed out on the corner or the kid who looks like he's about to shoot another kid ...

Not really. The "they" has been doing it for some time already. Now the population can access it too.

Well, it isn't really watching your every move. Street View pictures are taken from a car/van, and in most cases it only passed through any given city/town once.

I too am captured on Google earth. I was getting into my car. I was mad as hell that somoen took my picre without my permission and broadcasted it for the world to see. So Google, be prepared for someone without a sense of humor to file a class action suit against publishing humans without their permission.

If you're in the US, anything taken in public is legal to take, so there's no case unless they invaded your house.

your an Idiot, whats done in public can be filmed. and you CANNOT file any sort of "lawsuit" why dont you think celebrities would have not sued? dummy.

Yeah, good luck with that. If it were possible to sue someone for taking a photo without your permission the paparazzi would be so much nicer to celebrities than they are now ;)

Isn't that a COPYRIGHT infringement taking a picture of that guy laid out. I dont think google asked him if they could show him in a drunken state. I mean copyright laws (Pirate bay for instance)in this country and around the world are a joke cause everything is an infringement, dont step on MY lawn or I will sue you cause you didnt ask to step on it, dont look at my shoes cause I bought them and if you want to see them buy your own. I mean where does it stop. nobody owns shit in this world you may be the originator but if you make it public to the people then its fair game. If you want it to be yours and only yours keep it to yourself because once I buy a product I bought my piece of the copyright to do what I please with that material.

I am so intrigued with new technology and when I saw our place and even the 360* view around our area---I was very impressed. I looked up some of my friends and family's homes also~~neat! I am a grandma who will reach her 70th b'day this yr. and what a gift to google your children and grandchildren to keep up with new photos and adventures they are in. I am hoping to learn all that i can on myspace--twittter- facebook--and much more on the internet. Just call me Memawtech~~ Now i want an I-phone. In regard to the google van--it is no different than someone riding by your home and gawking. I have 2 grandsons who are tech genious's. "HAPPINESS IS HAVING YOUR GRANDCHILDREN INVITE YOU AS A FRIEND ON FACEBOOK!"

You rock! How fun it would be to have my Mammy as a facebook friend. I bet she would have, too, if it had been around when she was...Good for you, Memawtech!

Actually, the guy passed out on the side of the street is a sad story. His best friend had been killed the day before and he had gone drinking trying to deal with it. I understand that he was more distraught than drunk.

Your story may be true, but I doubt he was more distraught than drunk. Most distraught people aren't passed out on curb.

If you are caught on camera in a public area so be it!!! On private property is a different kettle of fish.

It's the same with nudity laws. You can still get slapped with a ticket if you stand nude infront of an open window. Even on private property.
Its ridiculous to think you have privacy with an open window. Go hide your naughtinesses inside of a draped room. please...

What happens in public is public, On private property however, that is intrusive and shows a total disrespect for ones privacy!!! Let's see how happy they would be finding out or seeing some of their nearest and dearest up to no good!!!
