Back when we were shiftless teenagers, Chun-Li was always our favorite "Street Fighter II" character. Perhaps it was because she was super quick, allowing us to abuse more muscular opponents. Or maybe, just maybe, there was something alluring about a video-game lady in a tiny skirt whose special move involved flying around upside down with her legs akimbo. Now that we're all grown up, our tastes skew almost exclusively toward flesh-and-blood females, which is why we were happy to see that the producers of "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" chose actress Kristin Kreuk to portray the exponent of the Spinning Bird Kick.
We don't know if Ms. Kreuk has the martial-arts chops to emulate Chun-Li's most acrobatic attacks (That's what CGI is for, right?), but we certainly have no problem with the prospect of her donning the iconic fishnets-and-micro-cheongsam outfit.

Any woman who looks that confident holding a large pol is fine by us.

A frantic moment from "Street Fighter." We can't quiet figure out what going on, but from the look of her gloves and her panicked expression, Chun-Li may have lost her mountain bike.

As a rule we prefer ladies not to wear things that look like dead tropical birds in their hair but for Ms. Kreuk we are willing to make an exception.

Would you think we were weird if we told you we had a fantasy about being threatened by Kristin Kreuk in skinny leather jacket.

Try as WB promo shoot directors might, no amount of bland styling and cheesy lighting can disguise Ms. Kreuk's inherent exotic beauty.
