Even though it sounds like something you'd click on in your e-mail inbox right before your hard drive crashed, penile extenders can actually increase the length of your penis by up to 32 percent according to an independent research study.

Researchers from San Giovanni Battista Hospital at the University of Turin, Italy, had 21 men with an average age of 47 wear the Andro-Penis extender device for between four and six hours a day for six months. According to consultant urologist Dr Paolo Gontero, "The device comprises a plastic ring, two dynamic rods that produce the traction and a silicon band to hold the penis in place."

At the end of the study, the men's average flaccid penile length of 2.82 inches increased by 32 percent to 3.72 inches by the last month of the year-long study. We're not sure exactly how this corresponds to the member's size at "full mast," but the participants expressed "high satisfaction levels," so we're guessing everything worked out on that front, too.

We're unsure as to why this isn't already the best-selling product in the world, but perhaps the fact that four of participants dropped out of the study due to "pain and penile bruising" holds a clue.
