Longer Ring Fingers Linked to Speed, Other Traits

Men with a ring finger longer than their index finger run faster.

Researchers measured the digits of 241 males participating in a track-and-field competition in Qatar, and found that those with the longer ring fingers were speedier at every point during the 50-meter dash. Other traits such as aggression, success in business and better math (but lower verbal) SAT scores have previously been linked to males with this particular finger ratio.

Scientists believe that a longer ring finger is an indication of more exposure to the hormone testosterone while in the womb.

Given these discoveries, we plan to have our fingers surgically elongated before retaking our SATs.
