We're the first to admit we wouldn't last a day in prison. In fact, we'd probably be putting our underwear on our head and pleading insanity at the first mention of communal showers. We've seen "Oz," we know what goes on.All that being said, we're kind of into the idea of a short spell at Texas's Montague County Jail. According to an indictment filed against former Sheriff Bill Keating, at least one area of the 100-bed lockup more closely resembled a particularly seedy spring-break hotel than a correctional facility during the disgraced cop's four-year spell in charge.
With locks on the doors broken and surveillance cameras disabled, prisoners were allegedly free to take drugs, lounge in recliners, chat on cell phones and have sex with the staff.
Along with Keating -- who already faces jail time after pleading guilty to unrelated accusations that he had threatened a woman with prison to get her to have sex with him -- nine guards have been charged for drug offenses and hooking up with inmates. Which we suppose is one way of keeping them from trying to escape.
