Unlike the Oscars, the Grammys or any of those other pretentious snoozefests, you get to help choose who wins Engadget.com's creatively named 2008 Engadget Awards. Categories range from "Cellphone of the Year" to "Desktop of the Year" to the always stalkery "GPS Device of the Year." Last time out the first generation iPhone took "Gadget of the Year," which is the big prize, and early results suggest its 3G cousin is headed for a repeat of sorts. The polls will remain open until 11:59 PM tomorrow.
