Female chimps mate more frequently with males who share meat with them. The exchange of sex for food among chimps has always been suspected, but a comprehensive study of the primates' behavior has found that males who share their meat have twice as much sex as those who don't.
According to the researchers, it's a win-win situation for man's closest animal relative. The male meat providers have more sex, and the female meat recipients, who would have trouble obtaining meat on their own, increase their caloric intake without risking hunting-related injury.
We interpret this as proof that grocery stores, from a sexual standpoint, have basically made our lives much more complicated.
