We all know the feeling. Maybe you're even experiencing it right now as you read this text. It's the end of a long week and the only thing you can possibly think of doing is getting drunk. The only problem is, the actual process of swallowing alcoholic liquid to the point of intoxication seems like way too much effort. Good news: A bar in London has come up with a solution.More art installation than traditional pub, Alcoholic Architecture will be open at select times through April 25. Imbibers who have purchased a $7.50-per-hour ticket enter the venue wearing a protective suit to cover their clothing and commence a leisurely "drinking" session simply by breathing in.
The 40-person capacity bar is filled with a gin-and-tonic-infused mist, carefully calculated -- according to Bompas and Parr, the gastronomic masterminds behind the concept -- to provide equivalent merriment to one cocktail per 40 minutes worth of inhalation.
Our suggestion for AA customers: Run a couple of laps around the block before entering. As you pant and gasp for breath, the sweet, sweet G&T fumes will surely hit your bloodstream quicker.
