In 1982, a few 11-year-old friends from Mississippi began a quixotic quest that resulted in a shot-by-shot recreation of "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark." Now, with the blessing of Steven Spielberg, who had something to do with the original, the film will get its British debut next week.

It took the friends seven years and about $5,000 to shoot the 100-minute tribute, which is, in some ways (like the props made out of cardboard boxes), more awesome than the original.

Also awesome, that Spielberg didn't freak out about this being copyright infringement. Ever since he raped Indiana Jones on "South Park," we thought Steve might be losing his cred a little.
