Holy Shit! At first i was like, this is just some pizza box that tears into 4 plates right; nothing new. Little did i know that thing folded into half giving you a perfect way to store half you pizza. Man I should have held on to my socks, after this video knocked them off they fell in my cereal; man...

I like the design, very useful, but...
Just to play devil's advocate here, how is this green? When I normally get a pizza, I take the slice from the box, eat it, and then any leftovers I have I leave in the box, and put it in the fridge.
It seems like my usual pizza box has the same amount of waste as this green pizza box.

It's green because it prevents using 4 paper plates and potentially a ziploc bag or plastic wrap.

Wes, if people cared about being green, they wouldn't be eating off of paper plates at home, nor would they store leftovers in any disposable, plastic medium. They would use actual plates, and reusable containers.
These boxes are useful and innovative in that they provide plates and storage without making extra waste, but they do not meet the criteria for being a green product, imo.

did anyone watch the video??? it's green because it 100% recycled cardboard, not just because of it breaking up into plates.

but why would you want to share a pizza with 4 people and then store half of it in the fridge. i always eat the whole thing by myself, and no leftovers. who wouold eat a pizza like this? no one i know, i'm not even a us citizen, who eat even larger portions.

This is totally usless. You would like to think a so called inventor would at least do some research. You are not supposed to recycle any paper that has grease on it. It can contaminate an entire batch of recycle pulp causing more fiber to be discarded than saved. This invention actually causes more grease to be spread around the box than a conventional box used normally. What a putz.

Many places allow you to recycle used pizza boxes, paper plates, etc by putting them in the yard waste.

phil is correct. i live in northern california, and a good friend of mine is in charge of the entire AS recycling program for California State University Chico, greasy cardboard cannot be recycled. sometimes the less greasy items can be composted, but grease is actually not so good for cardboard. while i think the creators of this box did have a good idea, ultimately im going to have to agree that this is actually not practical, and i think does very little good. this is the sort of product we actually DON'T need right now. things which make people think they're saving the environment, but really you're not at all. passivity will not save the environment, nor will little products like this. the first keyword here is REDUCTION. pizza comes with a plate already, its called the crust. duh. i think the pizza box of the future probably should be something more like back to the future 2 "you sure can hydrate a pizza mom".

Lol it never says anything about recycling the used pizza box. it just says that the box is made from recycled paper. the box could have been made from grease-free recycled paper...
