It wasn't so long ago that Jerry Seinfeld, who is celebrating his 55th birthday, was a Long Island kid cutting his teeth at Manhattan comedy clubs. Though we don't know exactly how he dressed for those engagements, we do know that since his "Seinfeld" days the comedian has made great strides in personal style. Gone are the bright white cross trainers and mom jeans, proving that men actually have the capability to improve their fashion sense as they mature.

Of course, sartorial missteps are not rarity among comedians. So to mark Jerry's birthday, we're counting down the 15 worst comic fashions. Hopefully, like Mr. Seinfeld, a few of these entertainers have learned the error of their ways.

    7. We have to question Bobcat Goldthwait's use of clashing colors and oversized bow tie to score chicks, but if it got Mrs. Brady in the sack, you can't argue with success.

    6. A shirt and tie is not the right style if your shtick is predominantly flatulence-inspired, but Larry the Cable Guy does attempt to clean up from time to time.
