Scientists have isolated the gene that causes people to lose their temper.German researchers asked 800 people to fill out a survey on how they deal with anger, and then gave them each DNA tests. It was discovered that those who fly into rage almost always have a different version of a specific dopamine-regulating gene than those who can remain calm.
The same study also found that the demonstrably angry have less gray matter in the part of the brain linked with keeping emotions in check.
This is good to know, because "It's not my fault; I was born this way" has a great ring to it when you're yelling uncontrollably.
