Today, 5/7/9, is Odd Day. One of only six dates this century that feature three consecutive odd numbers. Considering Monday, May 4, was Star Wars Day, this has to be the geekiest week of the year. But the nerdy festivities don't stop there! Bust out the cake and ice cream, 'cause we've rounded up six of the geekiest holidays of all time.
6. Square Root Day, which happens nine times a century, isn't quite as odd as Odd Day. This year it took place on 3/3/9. Next up 4/4/16
5. One would think Pi Day being on March 14 would be cut and dry, but some argue March 4 (when 14 percent of March has elapsed) is its proper date.
Check out the top four geek holidays after the jump.
4. DNA day is April 25, the date in 1953 on which Watson and Crick published their groundbreaking paper on the structure of DNA. Despite this incredible discovery, science never became cool.
3. Nerd Pride Day, which is sometimes called Geek Pride Day, is celebrated on May 25 because that's when -- you probably guessed it -- "Star Wars" premiered in 1977.
2. Pirates aren't geeky, but the Internet-driven sensation to talk like one on September 19 certainly is. This year, impress your friends on International Talk Like a Pirate Day by learning to say "Shiver me timbers" in Somali.
1. The obvious way to celebrate Hobbit Day on September 22 would be to completely gorge yourself with food.
