Well-educated, tech-savvy individuals between the ages of 25-45 with a median income of $79,000 are the demographic group most likely to binge drink.According to published findings based on CDC and census information, these "cyber millennials" tend to live on the West Coast or the Middle Atlantic. Other than their drinking, they are among the most health-conscious segments of society, and have a low average rate of smoking.
This fits a general pattern of heavy drinking becoming less of a problem of middle age and more of younger adulthood.
While it's hard to believe that Internet geeks are now leading the nation in binge drinking, we did notice a girl fall out of her chair while answering a question about C++ during last week's Craft Beer and Trivia night.
