We aren't quite sure when it's coming out, but via Twitter we've learned of the upcoming "DJ Hero." Like Activision's money-printing "Guitar Hero," it'll have various settings so that you too can scratch mad beats like DJ Shadow, Q-bert and lots of other people we haven't heard of but mention to look cool. They're rolling things out slowly to build buzz, and speaking of buzz, the new "DJ Hero" Web site has nothing more than a place to put your e-mail for announcements and an incredibly loud audience soundtrack, with no volume control. Great. Great technology.
We'll be sure to provide developments on this cutting-edge game as they arrive, but we're really pining away for Tuba Hero, Kazoo Hero, and -- for all those Peter Frampton fans out there -- Talk Box Hero.
