A frog in Australia's Northern Territory reportedly underwent life-saving surgery after coming off worse in a fight with a lawnmower. The little green critter appeared to have croaked (get it? get it?) when the machine's blades sliced along the length of its back, but determined surgeons at the Ark Animal hospital gave it a general aesthetic and set about putting it back together, anyway.
The operation was complicated, vets said, by the fact that tree frogs are too sensitive for human style antiseptics, but helped by the creatures' loose skin. They were able to save the frog by stitching its back up from eyeball to tail.
The lucky amphibian is now back hopping around the outback, unfazed by its Frankenstein-esque appearance. Fortunately, we're told that frogs dig scars.

Since when is it normal to be undergoing surgery to save the life of a frog?!
My little sister used to squirt frogs with Windex for fun when she was little.
So come on, it's a damn frog!

It may only be a frog, but it is still a life. It deserves a chance too.
