Employees of a Manhattan video game store endured a multiple-hour siege after a huge swarm of the honey-producing beasties invaded their entrance way.The clerks peered through the shop window as the creatures buzzed outside, with customers kept away by warning signs and police cordons.
One foolhardy bystander managed to lure a few thousand bees into a plastic garbage bag before a police bee specialist (yes, apparently this is an actual job) arrived to finish the job.
The insects have apparently been transported to a hive upstate. New Yorkers, meanwhile, are preparing for frogs or locusts or whatever biblical plague is set to come next. Click to see video of the event after the jump.

What makes you think ther were "KILLER" bees?? Believe me, if they were, (and that is only a misnomer for the Africanized Honey Bee), no one, specialist or not, would have been able to lure them into a garbage bag, or a beehive, or anything else. This is Spring, and honeybees swarm - it's what they do, and when they do it, they are usually exceptionally gentle, so any beekeeper could be a "bee removal expert" - but then, who would read the article??
