Our friends at With Leather are reporting on stories that indicate Adam "Pacman" Jones and Plaxico Burress may be returning to the gridiron. This once again proves the NFL plays a little more fast and loose than more traditional industries where getting arrested more than a half dozen times and/or shooting oneself has career implications more severe than a short sabbatical (aka an opportunity to reload).

The madness began on Friday when Burress's lawyer released a statement revealing he was working on a plea deal which would allow the receiver to compete this season. Apparently, Plax can better fit jail time into his schedule next baseball season. Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones asked a reporter on Saturday night: "Would you beat me up too bad if I brought back Adam?" Yes, Jerry. The answer is yes.

Which player/accused felon's return would you find more ridiculous? Let us know in our poll, and check out the other sports-related stories on our radar below ...
