There is a story in the news today about a boy who survived being hit by a meteorite travelling at 30,000 mph. The natural conclusion is that the boy, Gerrit Blanks, was really lucky to survive. But who knows -- maybe he's just really skillful at avoiding galactic artillery?In the same way, the Internet is full of tales and videos about lucky escapes that exist solely to test our credulity, and we'll never truly know if the guys behind them were just lucky or kings among men.
