Using a new formula for calculating mass, researchers have discovered many dinosaurs were only about half the size as previously thought.A team of biologists realized something was wrong with the original skeleton-based equation when they started running tests on existing species such as elephants and getting wildly inaccurate results.
Their proposed model, which focuses on the width of bones rather than the overall size of the skeleton, has downgraded the Brontosaurus from 42 tons to 20 tons and the Brachiosaurus from 35 to 18, to name a few.
In light of this, we're pretty sure Jeff Goldblum is the creepiest part of "Jurassic Park."

And this is news because?
Umm dinosaurs are long gone. No matter how much money/time/effort they pour into research.... they wont be back.
and What difference does it make how big they were/are/or could have been?
i love dino's at much as the next guy but come on..... iam not losing sleep

In other news.. This is pretty cool, and generally supports my theory hat we really don't know diddly, because all our historical scientific dogma is based on assumptions and theories which are constantly being rewritten.
