Reporting live from downtown Las Vegas is always going to be an assignment fraught with peril, what with all the drunken tourists who can't resist waving and giving shout-outs anytime they see a camera. But in this clip Steve Ryan of Channel 13 Action News doesn't given an inch when a bulbous out-of-towner in a polo shirt starts messing with his shot.
After the jump, watch Ryan smack down "that guy," and see other news reporters deal with unruly drunks.
Fox News reporter Steve Brown would never, ever hit a woman, but he'd sure as heck shoulder one outta the frame.
While we don't actually get to see how this ends, we are pretty sure it ends violently.
If you think the previous reporters overreacted, this is what can happen if you let the drunks run wild.
Or this.

Channel 13 in Las Vegas is at the bottom.
Last place. Been that way for years.
They hire the cheapest.
The wanna-be TV station is ran by the ever-growing Jim Prather who needs to spend less time at the all-you-can-eat buffet and go to school to get an education on how to run a TV station.
Idiot.
This is the same station that pre-taped their weatherman saying a racist comment on Martin Luther King's day and allowed it to air.
Allowed it to air. Protests? You bet. Had to hire a PR firm for that one.
Train wreck. Choo choo Prather coming down the track.

so these reporters don't like being harrassed or bothered by people?
How about when these jerks want to get there story and harrass people at there homes or on the street when someone has been victimized by a crime or not respecting peoples privacy when mourning. They should have the crap beat out of them just for that. Then they get ticked off because of a couple of harmless incidents. Give me a break

Yea people get carried away as i have heard some celebs and Eartha Kitt coined the term Stage Royalty-- prominnence degnified and status--it's also achievement unmatched---many will miss MJ and still get in front of cameras to show their respects since he is gone--it gets ridiculous at times when they get really crazed

It's not cool to hit someone who is drunk. Come on, a drunk could lose their balance from a blow or push and end up hurt or possibly dead. What the reporter did, IMO showed nothing but an aggressive nature--territorial prick.

Finally some revenge on overbearing news reporters and papparazzi. I have seen many times news people camped out on private peoples lawns and outside their work. So I guess when you broadcast in a public place alls fair

Yes reporters should be able to do their job. However, remember we're talking about Foxnews that has been busted so many times for spewing propaganda and even sometimes after being caught, go right on as if its nothing! America deserves BETTER than what Fuxnews has to offer! Last year in Washington, some protestors got tired of foxnews's so-called "fair and balanced" reporting and run their whole crew down a side street and out of that side of town! LOL! I certainly can't blame the protestors for that as I would have also! If you check closely, you find that Fuxnews has NO CREDIBILITY and therefore is not even worth considering watching. Maybe some Americans drunk or not get sick and tired of the lies and propaganda!

I love how in every AOL story, it always boils down to childish trolls and flame wars which are all basically "NO U!"
The people trying to insult each other over the people in the story are worse than the people in the story themselves.

Take a look at that first fox video -- the man is not drunk -- he doesn't look drunk ( walk, eyes etc.) The guy has a soda cup in his hand -- listen to his speech -- he has some sort of disability -- Fox is just trying to excuse their reporters actions. Shame on you Fox

It would seem to me, that "PROFESSIONAL" reporters, news stations would have a PROTOCOL for times when these thing happen. In other words, be PREPARED!
Something like, "Back to you for now."
The reporter instantly showed aggression for the drunk fellow, and REACTED instead of ACTING APPROPRIATELY.
I am disgusted with the news anchors/coworkers who immediately blamed the drunk fellow, for the reporters reactions, pushing, and punching the fellow! That was just as bad!
Unprofessional, spoiled, "look at me," reporters, all of them!

I'm a conservative, and I would have punched the drunk bast@rd right in the face and kept punching until he was subdued. Watching all of these drunks makes me laugh even harder at those who would make pariahs and tax billfolds out of smokers. When I see someone under the influence of nicotine pull this kind of crap, I might get on the bandwagon.

Have you noticed how little news coverage there has been about the Washington Post trying to sell access to Obama for healthcare lobbyist? THe publisher was hosting a dinner for up to $250,000 for lobbyist access to their reporters and to Obama administration officials. In the promo flier it said "an evening with the right people can alter the debate". Well, I guess when you're terrible paper is about to go under, you'll do anything. Did you hear about this on the news? Barely, as it might look bad for Obama, and we all know that CBS, NBC, CNN, ABC, MSNBC would NEVER ever show anything bad about their 'god'. Journalism is dead.....
