American Joey Chestnut won his third straight title in the Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest on Saturday, consuming a record 68 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. Chestnut narrowly beat his arch rival, six-time champion Takeru Kobayashi, who downed 64-1/2. (We don't want to know what happened to the half that Kobayashi couldn't finish.)

When the final horn sounded, Chestnut raised his arms in triumph and held up the American flag as "The Star-Spangled Banner" played. Check out pictures of the competition in the gallery below and swell with U.S. pride.
