Scientists may have discovered a protein that could give humans near-perfect memories. Spanish researchers found that if they boosted the production of the protein RGS-14 in the visual cortex region of mice, the lab animals could remember objects for up to two months that they would had previously forgotten in about an hour.
While the effects of RGS-14 have yet to be tested on humans, the researchers believe it could act as a very powerful memory-enhancer.
Many of you are probably thinking, "But I keep a flask of whiskey in my desk so I can forget." Don't worry. There's a pill for that in the works, too.
