Artist Joe Shuster did more than just co-create the character Superman -- he also secretly drew mob-financed underground S&M comics about people who looked like Superman and Lois Lane for extra cash. The comics ended up in the limelight when a group of neo-Nazi Jewish teens called the "Brooklyn Thrill Killlers" blamed them as the inspiration for their torture and murder spree, and the whole sordid story just got optioned as a film.
