Required viewing from the week in movies.

"In the Loop" is a political satire with easily the most eclectic cast of the year. (Everyone from James Gandolfini to "My Girl" star Anna Chlumsky.) If only poor bee-stung Macaulay Culkin could see her now.

Also in theaters:
-- While "Orphan" is yet another scary-kid movie, it does star the excellent Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard.
-- Kevin Spacey playing a drug-addled doc in "Shrink" may seem like a downer, but it can't be any more depressing than "The Ugly Truth."
-- Why not skip "G-Force" and see "Up" for a second time? Wasn't Christopher Plummer an awesome villain?
