I used to like William Shanter, but this is just uncalled for. No matter what her political views are, Sarah Palin and her family are human, they have feelings, things can hurt them just like anyone else. No one made fun of William Shanter when his wife mysteriously died or for how fat he has gotten etc. No one is perfect and I don't believe making fun of others is the way to get laughs. All this media and Hollywood attention on Gov. Palin is making me very suspicious, and I do't think that I am alone. When the liberals in the media and liberal celebrities concentrate their attention so forcefully on a political figure, it suggests that they are afraid of something, and if that is true, maybe they know something that I am overlooking. I'm going to pay closer attention to Palin to see what the liberals are afraid of; it may be something us Independents may find that will be beneficial to the country. I'd do the same if the conservatives paid so much attention to a political figure because I trust them as little as I trust the liberals. Both of those extreme groups are out for their own selfish interests, I think.

Ed, there is an ongoing investigation into her death. Just not getting any press in the US. She was a very experienced swimmer and was found in their pool with a neck injury. After reading some of the comments, I will NOt even listen to the remarks that Shatner made. I used to think he was a fair actor, but after this, he shouldn't even be in commercials anymore.
