Our friends at FilmDrunk are reporting director Ridley Scott will be adopting Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World," with Leonardo DiCaprio likely to star.
Huxley wrote his famous book in 1931 as a bleaker alternative to the utopian vision of the future that was in vogue at the time.
There is little doubt Huxley's view on where humanity is headed eventually won out in Hollywood, as there are at least 50 films like "The Matrix" for every one like "The Jetsons." So we want to know which big-screen take on our sad, dystopian future you find the most horrifyingly likely? (Make sure to point out the movies we missed in the comments.)

What about America 3000? Or perhaps A Boy and His Dog?

Has anyone else read Brave New World? I read it (after reading 1984) and I gotta say, that seems like the perfect utopia because everyone is guaranteed to be happy! I looked up the official site on which the writer says it's the closest approximation to hell possible (not literal translation, of course), even though compared to 1984, it WAS a utopia! Anyone else get the same vibe?
Also, Gotta watch some more of these films.
