In pop culture, collectors of action figures, comic books and other presumed accoutrement of childhood are portrayed as hapless losers, a la Steve Carell in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin." In reality, there's such a thing as the functional geek. Record producer and rapper Kwamé is one such individual, a serious collector of action figures and sneakers, who's also been able to have a career (other than being a video store clerk), buy a home (not live in his parents' house), and get married (to a real woman). We recently visited Kwamé to find out how he balances his obsessive collecting with his responsibilities as an artist and husband. Check out the video, after the jump.

Ah yes, I've always regarded Comicon as one of the finest orgies I've ever attended. Nothing like the clink of a retainer, that intoxicating smell of Axe deodorant, someone whispers something in Klingon in your ear. I'll let you feel the wrath of my Kahn. Oh yeah.
