First an overturned truck of pigs closed an interstate in Arkansas, then a beer spillage closed a Vermont highway, now armfuls of cash have caused a traffic jam in California.

At 11:50 a.m. on Sunday, a man began tossing thousands of dollars from his car onto Interstate 210 outside Los Angeles, causing drivers to pull over and rush into traffic to pick up the cash.

California Highway Patrol officers issued the following statement: "Please do not stop on the freeway to look for money. Stopping on the freeway can be hazardous or even fatal." Luckily, no one was hurt and the cash-giving man, who appeared to be mentally unstable, turned himself in to authorities.

Cops were able to recover about $1,000 from the road, but they asked anyone who picked up the man's money to turn it in so it can be returned. Good luck with that.
