There are many reasons for a group of people to march in public, from civil rights to parades to spontaneous musical-like dance routines. But perhaps no reason is more honorable than women marching for their right not to wear a shirt (possibly NSFW, 'cause there are, you know, boobs). Yesterday, topless women in New York marched through Central Park on National Go Topless Day to the dulcet tones of "I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan, a song equally applicable to feminists, homosexuals and women without shirts. They were protesting for constitutional equality between men and women on being topless in public.
"We're all here for the same reason -- to allow women to be free in the park like men," said organizer Sylvie Chabot.
Marchers also joined in the event in California, Illinois, Florida, Ohio, Oregon and Hawaii. In New York, it's already legal for women to be topless, thanks to a 1992 court ruling, but the hope is that one day women across the country will be able to enjoy the same freedom.
Soldier on, topless ladies, soldier on.

Finally some women who actually understand. I am a man and I am more of a feminist than many women. I have been thinking this for years. They are just mammary glands that are used to feed babies. Men have them too ours are just for decoration and some men have bigger boobs than some women.

No alex i'm not stupid, just observant. And I've seen women breast feed in public and they don't care it is definately NOT covered. Also I don't know if you know this but they make formula for babies so brest milk is not "needed" for life, wow that was dramatic.Oh and I didn't say anything about that being sexual you perv and the next time you reply to someones comment you don't have to be such a smart ass to try and make a point.

Wow you're even dumber then i thought, formula is synthetic, breast feeding gives the baby nutrients you can't find anywhere else, it also helps the womans uterus shrink, helps her lose weight, decreases the possibility of getting pregnant again, and helps the baby and mother to bond, it's been proven babies who were breast fed are less likely to get sick, and as far as their boobs shoeing while breastfeeding, fine they show, but it's the complete opposite of a sexual act, and i do think they should cover but you don't ban brestfeeding in public because of that.

Lol. All women are NOT physically beautiful. Maybe they are great people or have great personalities, but nobody sees that just because a woman has her top off. I often thought it was unfair for men to be able to go around shirtless while women were not allowed. However, I think it's rather classless for ANYONE to be in public topless unless they're by the pool or the beach. I don't want to see an ugly, fat, or hairy man topless and I don't blame men for not wanting to see an ugly, fat, or saggy woman topless. We're all human. We love physical beauty, that's just the way it is.

Most women do not look better naked or topless than they do when they are scantily clothed. Topless is not sexy because it takes away any mystery, any illusion and what you get is what you see. Sexy is when your imagination becomes arroused. Wet tee shirts are sexier than no tee shirt. A few buttons left undone and no bra is sexier than topless. My opinion anyway.
