Jonathan Tropper's new book "This Is Where I Leave You" is being called everything from a "comic family saga" to a sympathetic portrait of "bumbling men figuring out how to be grown-ups." We're in total agreement with those descriptions, though we also took note that the book has one of the most excruciatingly multi-paragraph ruminations on what it's like to be kicked in the 'nads. The passage is told with such gusto, in fact, we dare anyone with a pair to give it a read. Asylum editor Anthony Layser spoke with the author about testicular pain in literature, as well as a few other subjects when they sat down to have a beer earlier this month.
