Now that Ted Kennedy is gone, we can close the book on Camelot. Sure, there are countless other Kennedys running about with their funky accents and propensity toward violent death, but none of them seem to have what it takes to keep alive the family flame during a time in which mythology is quickly met with cynicism, and being part of a political dynasty isn't an automatic asset.(In fact, the most promising "Kennedy" would be that actor from California with a funky accent all his own -- if the governator's political career wasn't about to be stalled by term and constitutional limits.)

The Kennedy dynasty is gone now and will never be seen again. Joe Sr, Joe Jr, John and Bobby were very strong and smart men. They all had the positive and negative personality traits that go with being a leader.
Teddy was not quite the same though. Maybe because he was not as strong, or maybe because by the time it was his turn, he was on his own. The rest were all gone. In his own way though, he did become a President. The President of the Massachusetts Senate.
