Our happy hour fact to amaze your drinking buddies with.

Sleeping with your partner increases the risk of depression, heart disease, strokes, lung disorders and traffic accidents.

That's the claim being made by Dr. Neil Stanley, after studies have found couples suffer 50 percent more sleep disturbances when they share a bed. The sleep specialist recommends that unless couples are having no sleep problems at all, they should consider the separate-bed approach.

Stanley, who doesn't bunk with his wife, also points out that the tradition of the marital bed only became the norm after the industrial revolution, when space became an issue.

If this advice is followed, we predict the two biggest beneficiaries will be those who feel pressure to snuggle and "SportsCenter."
