CNN is reporting that Patrick Swayze has died of pancreatic cancer, after a long battle with the illness.

Swayze is best remembered by your girlfriend as the star of films like "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost," or by you as the badass cooler from "Road House," the leader of "Red Dawn"'s Wolverines, or the avenging hillbilly cop in "Next of Kin." Junior-high-schoolers who wanted to skip a reading assignment will remember him from "The Outsiders," and sci-fi geeks knew Swayze as the star of the best Christmas song ever.

While he famously made sure that nobody put Frances "Baby" Houseman in the corner, he made his way into the corner of all of our hearts.
