When asked about Kanye West's outburst at the VMA Awards, President Obama reportedly said West was a "jackass" for the move.

The president's quote was reported via Twitter by ABC's Terry Moran, then unreported, as ABC tried to issue an apology that stated that the jackass quote was off the record. Unfortunately for ABC, there's not really a "delete" button for Twitter, as the quote had been widely re-tweeted by the time Moran deleted the original.

Ironically, the president's off-the-record trash talk has so far been met with near-universal agreement. Maybe he should drop a "Kanye's a jackass" provision into the health-care bill.
