Recently, we reported on an "alien" baby which was discovered in Mexico a couple years ago and has been studied ever since. It "baffles experts with its fakeness," we snarked, because we just weren't buying this (or any) shriveled-up carcass as once being an intergalactic visitor.

But perhaps we're being too cynical. Perhaps the evidence that we are not alone is already right under our noses, and we just need to open our minds. So to educate ourselves more on the history of aliens caught on film we scoured the Internet for other images of extraterrestrials.

Dead or Alive
This little fella, measuring only 7.2 millimeters, was found in 2002 in Southern Chile by a child, and covered on local TV. While the boy claims the mini-alien was alive when he discovered it, its advanced state of decomposition suggested otherwise. Then again, they also doubted Elliott and look how that turned out.

The Oldest Joke in the Universe
Apparently Chile is a hotbed for diminutive aliens, as another photo snapped in its capital city of Santiago seems to pose the timeless riddle of why did the extraterrestrial cross the road?

Fake and Balanced
This alien autopsy allegedly shows the post-mortem of a space being who died in a UFO crash at Roswell, N.M., in 1947. In 1995, the footage aired nationally on the Fox Network after heavy promotion. However, few viewers were convinced, and the special-effects artist who created the wounded alien eventually came forward.

Cold War Cut-Up
Here's an alien autopsy from the former Yugoslavia that has yet to be thoroughly debunked. Although the examination took place in 1966, after a rumored crash of a UFO, it was only recently released for reasons that involve cold war intrigue. (And maybe some papier-maché.)

Interview With the Martian
Now we have video footage of a purported alien interview at the notorious Area 51 military facility in Nevada. It comes complete with a creepy voice concealment effect and an official-looking time stamp.

Extraterrestrial Paparazzi
Italian Filberto Caponi snapped this and other pictures of a possible space visitor over the span a few months in 1993. The images were reinforced by a rumor that the Italian Air Force had shot down a UFO close to where Caponi lived. After the photos were published in a Milan weekly, Caponi was besieged by investigators and, to his credit, his explanation of why he knew about an alien for so long without alerting the world didn't completely fall apart.

The Proof Is Out There?
Is it an alien? Is it a ghost? Studio wizardry? A deformed kangaroo? Who knows? But the bottom line is that this video is as convincing as any of the other attempts to reveal visual evidence of aliens. Which makes it easy to be a skeptic.
