The word hero is tossed around a lot these days, but there's no other way to describe Jay Vargas, a 21-one-year-old Powerball winner who's using his money to fund a bikini wrestling show.Vargas, who at 19 became the youngest Powerball winner ever, has put part of his $17 million payout toward the development of "Wrestlicious," which features professional wrestling, sketch comedy and lots of scantily clad babes.
When Vargas won the lottery two years ago, he pledged to spend his money wisely. "I didn't have the temptation to go out and buy 15 cars or 50 houses, or a big mansion with 50-plus rooms," Vargas said. "I just want to be comfortable."
So this young entrepreneur packed up and moved from South Carolina to Tampa, Fla., the home of many professional wrestlers, to make his bikini-wrestling TV show dreams come true. In this age of corporate greed, it's refreshing to see a rich guy who wants to give back.
A pilot episode hosted by Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart has been shot and producers are currently looking for a network to pick up the program. How can any network executive resist this promo?

Not my cup of tea but I will say it has an audience out there. I think it is a great idea because as I just said, there is an audience for this type of show out there. He just may turn his lottery winnings into even more cash with this one.

While I wouldn't waste my time watching it, I do think it's a reasonable business decision. I don't see much in the line of mental giants watching it but I see no reason why it wouldn't draw the same audience the other phony wrestling shows draw and like it or not, McMahon has built an empire and great personal wealth off mental midgets.

I will build a hospital in my hometown in Sierra Leone West Africa. It is a small village which was destroyed by 12 yrs of war.Heard of Blood Diamonds????? . The school I attended when I was in middle school has no books, pens and computers for the students. I want them to enjoy what I have in America, even though most of them will never travel out of that country.I miss home and I pray God will help me win just a million to help those kids. I am in Nursing School now and want to go home one day to help. Thank you America for letting me see the world that money is not happiness.

Usually I'm happy for a lotto winner but this bone head is just that... a bone head!! Why waste good money? If he wants to see that type of crap, all he has to do is do a private party.
If he's willing to THROW his money away on this then I'd like him to know that I'm more than willing to take some of his cash!!
Whatever happened to helping your fellow man? There are so many people out there who are in need and the money he's wasting could be put to good use!!! It just makes me sick to know he's doing this!! His parents should be ashamed of him. He should be ashamed of himself!!
What a BONE HEAD. Wait, did I already say that? LOL Peace

"When Vargas won the lottery two years ago, he pledged to spend his money wisely." - the funniest line in this whole article. No further comment needed.

The poor in the USA? We are one of the richest nations on earth and if people are poor here they have many opportunties to improve themselves. The poor are those without opportunity, like the starving children of the world in 3rd world countries. This young man will answer for his frivolity someday.

Hzve you considered he is helping to stimulate the economy? Being paid are all those who produced and video and then the ladies.
He may be laughing - all the way to the bank.
Compared to some of the rest of the world U.S. television is quite tame. For example one country, and I want to say Italy, has a program where young, attractive, well-built young ladies read the daily news while taking off their clothing until they are naked. I remember another which was a version of a strip-tease game show. If a contestant lost they had to take off an item of clothing.

How is it that so many winners are, well, stupid? A lot of them go through the money in no time, winding up filing bankruptcy. Buying million-dollar homes, fleets of new cars, giving money away to "friends" (who would drop that "friendship" if you weren't handing over that cash to them).... It always makes me wonder, were they that stupid before the big money, or were they stupid but showed in less ostentatious ways?

Just because you are not into wrestling does not mean you should put this show down. These girls are actually talented athletes and work hard at their profession. This is what they love to do thats why they do it. I think its awesome that he followed his dream and made this for two reasons. He had a dream and he is following it out and the second is for the most part wrestling is a male dominated sport where women wrestlers almost always get undercarded to the men so its good to see they have their own show to showcase their skills and hard work. I hope this show is a huge success!
