You know how every holiday season the stores all sell out of Nintendo Wiis? Well, that's because they're so awesome -- just ask the cops in Polk County, Fla. In the midst of a drug raid on a house that apparently took nine full hours and cost $4,000, cops apparently were distracted by Wii bowling. Reports say they started the game up within 20 minutes of entering the house and spent hours playing it.
The incident is being investigated after it was caught on the drug dealer's security camera, though it should be noted that some cops were looking for drugs at the same time. (Also, in fairness, Wii bowling is super-fun.)

um,actually, its not uncommon to take 9 hours on a search.every square inch of the house needs to be searched, every little bit of evidence needs to be photographed and documents piece by piece.you try going through a DRUG DEALERS house, and then tell me it can be done in just an hour or 2

Umm actually it would probably take less time if they'd put down the wii-mote and actually look at something besides the TV. =)

These two dumb-azzes need to be fired. How stupid can a cop be to compromise an investigation. This drug dealer will probably get off, just because of this footage.

Amen...I'm sick and tired of these Yahoos making an excuse for cops. No one ever put a gun to their heads to become cops and yet, I hear the same excuses all day long that they put their lives on the line.
It's a JOB like anything else. You don't like it, "QUIT!"
And for the Yahoo saying that he's been a cop for 20 years and to let them be..."EXACTLY." This is probably the same idiot that got a badge for the wrong reasons.
Fire 'em and we'll see how many more will goof off on our tax dollars...

The cops were just having a little fun. I don't see what's wrong with they did. In fact, they could've confiscated the Wii from the suspect's house and they still would've had my support.

I'm sorry but you're incorrect. I live in Polk County, Florida and we're not all criminals. I sure am NOT a criminal. Now a days, every where you go though there are criminals so they're not just in Polk County, Florida. But what those officers did is wrong but I believe they should just be written up and be able to keep their jobs.

I used to live in Polk County for a few years and I sure as hell am not Mexican or Black.
Anyway, Polk County is a pretty hill billy county though, which is the main reason I left. The police in Polk County are also really really corrupt. They will arrest you for anything. They take pride in keeping the jails full, whether or not you are a criminal. I had a business down there and one time I had to call them for people that were stealing items from my location and they threatened to arrest me and let the thieves go while joking around with them. Good Job Polk County Law Enforcement! Keep up the great work as the entire world can now see.

Whoever brings up race, like only blacks and mexicans get into trouble,,,What about all the white people who kidnap and rape kids, havin sex with their kids, and oh yea the drug dealers...People are so ignorant. I myself am black and white, & can not seem to understand why you losers always pull the race card....They do not even express whether the owner of the house is black, white, mexican, purple or blue. Get a life!

I agree with you 100%! Cops are lazy and most of them are fat. The only time you see them doing anything is on the news. 10 cops chasing one guy just to beat him up when they catch'em. Other than that they do nothing for our people. Look at the Jaycie Dugard Case and Kaylie Anthony! I could keep naming police screw-ups one right after the other all over this country.LOL! This is a one sided conversation. My side:o)
