Republican candidate for South Carolina adjutant general Dean Allen held a "Machine Gun Social" to kick off his campaign this weekend. The event's $25 price tag included food, ammunition for target practice, music by Roger Buckner and an entry into a raffle for an AK-47.

While we're hard-pressed to think of an event that couldn't somehow be improved with the introduction of automatic firearms, we're also sorry we didn't get to see rejected fundraising ideas like a "Samurai Sword Sock Hop," or the "Kill Everything Within a Radius of One Block Party."

Check out the video ad for Allen's rally, and see what goes on at another famous machine gun hootenanny.

Since we couldn't get footage of Allen's event, we thought we'd show you some highlights from the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot. If you've got a real appetite for destruction, Dean Allen's party is an hors d'oeuvre compared to the feast that is Knob Creek. Allen's fundraiser featured a single 20-round clip for guests. Knob Creek features "flamethrower rentals." Enough said.
