Of all the stand-up comics who happen to look like overgrown, mischievous, pale children, Eugene Mirman is our hands-down favorite. And while his mug is widely-known from "Flight of the Conchords," Mirman has also been instrumental in keeping New York comedy alive and well.

In addition to offering up books and recordings -- the tome "The Will to Whatevs" was released earlier this year, and the album "God Is a 12-Year-Old Boy With Asperger's" comes out tomorrow -- Mirman recently held court at the second annual Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival in Brooklyn.

Asylum enlisted Larry Murphy -- Mirman pal and voice of Adult Swim's late, great "Assy McGee" -- to interview the host and get us behind the scenes. It's kind of like an "Entertainment Tonight" segment, except Larry is less intimidating than Mary Hart.
